Founded and operated by students, The Record is committed to fair, accurate, and comprehensive coverage of our campus communities. We strive to inform, challenge, and engage the CSB/SJU community through honest reporting and thoughtful opinion.
The Record operates independently of the administrations of both colleges. Our editorial decisions are made solely by student editors and are not subject to review or approval by college officials.
The Record reserves the right to free speech. Opinions expressed herein are not necessarily those of the student body, faculty, or the CSB+SJU administration. No part of this publication may be reproduced without written consent.

History & Recognition
First published in 1888, The Record is one of the oldest student newspapers in Minnesota. Published weekly during the academic year, it is printed at Sauk Centre Web Printing using soy-based inks on recycled paper.
The Record is a member of the Associated Collegiate Press and the Minnesota Newspaper Association. The paper has been recognized with a first-place finish in the “Best of the Midwest” competition and a seventh-place finish at the National Collegiate Newspaper Convention.
