So, you found yourself reading The Record… the only place that will print our terrible thoughts on a plethora of beers and liquors. We are your average consumers of various beverages with controversial opinions. Please, if you are under 21 follow the law and don’t consume alcoholic beverages. If you are of a legal drinking age, please drink responsibly and… stop at buzzed!

**Mack’s go to:**

If I had to drink a beer for the rest of my life, that beer would be Busch Light. Brought to you by the good people at Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis, MO., this wonderful light lager is something I would consume in rain or shine.

Busch Light is a light golden color with little to no taste. For most people, this beer should be consumed faster than a 1,000 HP drag car going a quarter mile down the strip. I like this light hoppy lager more than most people, in fact, I like this lager more than Kim Kardashian likes plastic surgery.

If you somehow haven’t had Busch Light, it’s cheap so you might as well give it a go. If you don’t like it, well, I’ll drink it for you.

**Sam’s go to:**

When determining the best beer, I look at the three P’s: price, performance and palate. A beer that satisfies all three is Golden Light, a cheap beer that is a staple for many college students. It is exclusively sold in the Midwest and is a personal favorite of mine.

Whether you are having a drink with dinner or working to maximize your buzz cheaply, Golden Light has you covered. It’s crisp, refreshing taste and smooth texture makes Golden a drink you can enjoy and also drink quickly on Case Day.

At $17 a case, Golden Light can take you far without breaking the bank. Golden Light is a drink of camaraderie and friendship. With Golden Light in their systems, enjoyers can strike up conversations with anyone who frequents the infamous trough at the La.

Lifelong friendships have formed thanks to the liquid courage and Johnnie and Bennie spirit brought on by a few cans of Golden Light.

**Mack’s feeling spicy:**

If I am feeling spicy and want a little better flavor profile that comes with a little pricier beer, I will almost always go with Corona Extra. A top-tier flavor that is improved with a small slice of tangy lime.

Corona is best enjoyed on a beach in a tropical climate, but because we aren’t anywhere near that, a warm day at the end of the dock will have to do.

Toss your favorite tequila, some orange juice, a tinge of grenadine and of course the lime, you’ll find yourself on the receiving end of a cold hook left to your mouth.

I love this beer, I really do. If you aren’t a fan of this beer, you aren’t a fan of me, and you better let that one marinate.

**Sam’s preference:**

I have a deep appreciation for an ice-cold beer on a hot summer day. Since I’ve been able to legally purchase alcoholic beverages, I’ve been on a quest to find my ideal beer.

After months of searching and taste-testing, I’ve determined that Leinenkugel Summer Shandy is the best. The Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company, commonly referred to as Leinenkugel’s, was founded in 1867 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin by Jacob Leinenkugel, of course. The Summer Shandy is one of the most popular beers produced by the company.

What makes the Summer Shandy so delightful is that it gives off a sweet lemon scent that sticks around until you drink the last drop. The lemonade flavor makes the American wheat beer even more refreshing on a hot day. For optimal enjoyment, drink a Summer Shandy while boating on one of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes.

If you disagree with our opinions, you can buy us a drink or two (if you are 21 or older) of what you think is better and we may change our minds.
